Labelling people by guild.I've seen a lot of guild labelling (can you say that xD?) in Dragonica lately. I'm the type who doesn't care much for guilds. For example I don't care what guild I'm in and I generally just stick with whatever guild I happen to find unless something bothers me and makes me leave. But a lot of people in DO seem to have a lot of guild pride, and even the opposite.
I just looked at a thread about ks'ing chaos maps, and merely because a few PIRATA people were ks'ing at ONE time (it could have happened on more than that occasion but I wouldn't know) everyone automatically assumes that all PIRATA members are ks'ers.
While I was in Vizard I recall one person who had been ks'ed by a Vizard member, and was now judging me for being a possible ks'er. But perhaps the more applicable situation is the one with CAPCOM and Ascension.
I recently observed a heated argument between an Ascension member and a Vizard member, and when all "good" arguments and namecallings were over, it quickly descended to "all you ascension members are the same" and "Tsk you vizard members are all noobs you got beat by X and Y".
I was in CAPCOM for 2 days or so (left it for the same reason as Vizard), and though I left it like a week ago now, a friend of mine was surprised that I talked to Firin today, assuming that just because I USED to be in CAPCOM, a week ago, I wouldn't want to talk to Ascension members.
It could be just me not knowing all these guild stereotypes and whatnots, but honestly, it seems ridiculous. Anyway I made this thread so people can share some guild labelling stories, because I am honestly very interested in how much people have been exposed to this.
Note: I also label people by guild to sometimes, like whenever I see someone kill a boss on my alts, I jokingly think for myself that they are either from Immortals or Legacy, but not to the aggresive extent I've seen at times.
